It was my intent with this painting to stretch the four seasons across my composition, showing the parade of colors we enjoy each year. I used a row of crab apple trees that I spotted east of Boulder, Colorado, and started with the lime greens of early spring on the left, ending with the bare, snow covered branches on the right. The flowers below are the coinciding Colorado wildflowers that can be seen as the seasons change.
