Description
I drew a rose, and then segmented the paper into nine sections. I treated each section with a different technique: texture (salt, waxed paper, saran wrap), color (bright, muted), wet on wet, hard edged....and some squares I just painted as I saw them. I liked the subtle effect of the divided canvas.

Unity among differences--very appropriate to what has been occupying my thoughts today. Each is beautiful in its own way, but they need each other to make a whole rose. WELL DONE! L/F

Wooow, this is so beautiful Anne. The colors and textures are incredible! May I ask what kind of salt you use for this technique? So cool! L/F

This is stunning, Anne - did you do each square separately to do whatever treatment you chose for it and then let it dry? Or did you do some masking of some sort to protect adjacent squares? Fascinating look! L/F
