LOVED this watercolor print of 'We're Off To See The Wizard'. This was a birthday card for my uncle who owns the antique shop 'The Wizard of Odds' (and ends) in Alta Maine, and he just loved it. Perfect!!

Artist's Description

The PBM Mariner played an important role for the United States Navy during World War II. This versatile flying boat was used for air/sea rescue of downed aviators, assault patrols, bombing and antisubmarine patrol. This beautiful print depicts a PBM-3D Mariner in the markings of the plane flown by the VPB-216 Squadron, Number 5 airplane flown by PPC Lt. Jim Wood. This may have been the only Mariner painted with a shark mouth livery.
