Gentoo penguins jumping into the water, Cuverville Island, Antarctica. Approximately 6,500 pairs of gentoos nest on this small island.
Penguins are often very cautious entering the water because seals, their main predator, could be waiting for them in the water below. So they will line up like this and wait by the edge until one finally jumps in. The others very quickly follow.
