About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Average Rating (5 Stars):

Ad said it has a hanging wire, it doesn’t. Has a big chunk of wood glued to the back with a hanging bracket. Acrylic distorts the picture in my opinion.

This rating is for Fine Art America only. Not the artist. I received this print on acrylic. It shows to have a silver back ground, but it was green-ish in real life. That didn't work for me so I needed to send it back. It cost me $32 to have it shipped, but $96....yes, NINETY SIX dollars to have it sent back. Fine Arts could have had a pre-printed label from their corporate account (like Amazon does) for it to be shipped back and then that ($32) amount deducted from my refund. They did not. So, basically I paid $120 to get a product that did not match the print online. Therefore, I will NEVER shop at Fine Art America again AND will warn everyone I know to beware.

I have seen this in person many times. I thought it would be nice to have a picture of it. I am so glad I got this.

I lived in the area and saw Mt. Rainier often. I used to call it "my" mountain. Now, I have a photo of it to remind me of its beauty.

Love it!

Artist's Description

In Hawaii there is a common tree in the forest called the 'ohi'a tree, that is important in Hawaiian culture. It bears beautiful flowers called Lehua blossoms. Occasionally these blossoms are yellow or orange, but the most common color is red. There is a legend associated with the 'ohi'a tree and it's blossoms that goes like this: One day Pele, the goddess of the volcano, met a handsome young man named 'ohi'a. She desired to have him as her sweetheart. He confessed that he already was in love with another young girl, Lehua. This enraged Pele and she used her magical powers to transform the young man into the ugly 'ohi'a tree. Lehua was terribly sad and pleaded with Pele to return the young man back to his human form. Pele refused so Lehua begged the gods to help her to be reunited with 'ohi'a. Instead of changing 'ohi'a back to a human, the gods transformed Lehua into a lovely red blossom to adorn the 'ohi'a tree. Now when anyone picks a Lehua blossom, it will rain because the lover...

About James Temple

I have lived in Hawaii for the past 16 years, 1200 feet above sea level, on the small rural island of Moloka'i. It is very quiet here, with only about 7,500 residents, sort of like living in a small town in the middle of the Pacific ocean. I appreciate the quiet life after spending 35 years in the advertising/design/illustration business in Chicago and San Francisco. I have always loved cooking. Eventually that love led me to a degree in the Culinary Arts. Since then I have designed and built a house, worked in restaurants, self-published three cookbooks, and took up photography. Now retired, I spend most of my time developing recipes and photographing them, plus researching and writing about Hawaii's culinary history on my food...
