Description
Pelican's Nest Door was created the first in a series of Art Nuveau door panels. Inspired by 'The Pelican', a medieval image denoting world hunger, found in an Art Nuveau book, it took 6 weeks to design and carve, and another 2 weeks to paint. Much of that time was in discovering and deciding on how the various surfaces and textures would be treated. It measures 7' tall, 34" wide, 2 5/8" thick.
