07/01/2008 04:17 PM F Michael Wells Once again a great description of the work. The example I like to use is rainbows. Where does the rainbow exist? It isn't exactly out there, in the world of 'things' so much as in here, in my physiological response to the refracted wave lengths of visible light passing through my eyes and being transformed into electromagnetic impulses that the brain recognizes as "rainbow." It's all ours. What a marvel!

I am not happy with this towel at all. You can't see the face because it is bigger than what I viewed. I would like to send it back

This was a birthday gift for my aunt. The flower was one of her mother's favorite and hummingbirds were her sisters favorite. Every year we go to the beach in memory of her sister so this was just perfect! Thank you!

I have been collecting this particular artist for almost 40 years now. It is such an unexpected and simple pleasure to have available her memory dreamscape on a practical towel, companionable with my seaside visits.

Artist's Description

This drawing represents light traveling through two small slits and interfering with itself. To see this in reality, stand on a bridge and look down at waves of water interfering with itself as the columns supporting the bridge block the water at some points making the wave travel around the columns and the new waves collide. If you have a camera, take a picture of it and compare it to this drawing. It will be identical (or close depending on how far apart the columns are). Light travels as a particle (when it's being observed) and as a wave (when it's not being observed). This has been one of the beautiful mysteries of light. Since all energy travels through the quantum (I believe a Planck lattice structure). Then light does indeed travel all possible paths as quantum mechanics predicts. Light travels through (vibrates through) the lattice (or grid like) structure of space time vibrating all points connected to it. Space time is a fractal. A fractal is a shape that when you decompose...
