A couple of years ago, I discovered The Pier, a wonderful mile-long strip of land going directly out into the Hudson River from Piermont, NY. It was originally built as a loading zone and docking area for ships from what I understand during WW2. There are great views on either side of this walkway. This view was on the South side looking across at the marshy shoreline in Piermont. I'm always delighted to find areas where there is something interesting in the near shore as well and these rocks and tall grasses were perfect to add interest to the scene.
