The Neo-baroque style Edificio Espana is the 14th tallest building in Madrid and was built between 1948 to 1953. It is 117m / 384ft high and when competed was the tallest building in Spain (until 1957). It is one of the main landmarks in the city centre and overlooks the large Plaza Espana.
