Also discovered that the entrepreneurial owners of the Left Bank bouquinistes have gotten wise and are now selling locks for tourists and locals to use in perpetuating this tradition. Just don't know how much longer people are going to be able to find a place to put them!!

I'm sure they'll find a way! Thanks for your comments.
Hi, Georgia! Wanted to tell you I found a bridge with padlocks on my recent trip to Paris. I haven't checked the name yet, but it was near Notre Dame. It was absolutely jam-packed with locks, and had a gargantuan one on it along with lots of smaller ones. I will be posting a few images and you will be able to see. Thought of you when we unexpectedly happened upon it!
Well I can't think of a better place to be thought of than in Paris! I hope you had an awesome time :)
Great shot v/f
Very interesting! Great capture! V/F
Thanks Bob :)
I have missed this in the past, but am hoping to get to Paris next year, and will definitely put this on the list of places to visit (and photograph).
There are a few bridges that have these padlocks on them now but the Pont des Artes is definitely the best.
Very nice !!!! Good shot 8)
Thanks Max :)
Hi, Georgia. I saw this after commenting on your photo of the hearts and names carved on a tree. Both lovely traditions in this city of love! :) (voted)
Thanks Carla. It's one of those places you never get tired of photographing or run out of inspiration :)
