Stones such as these are found all over Ireland, England, and Europe. They are probably ancient Celtic. The question remains, what are they? Some believe them to be burial sites. Modern Ireland carefully preserves these treasures while living in the world of today with power lines, fences, and farms. This is called Poulnabrone Dolmen and is in County Clare.
Every piece of art in my gallery is original; not scanned; not a photograph. Using only the computer mouse, I draw every line, add every bit of shading, highlights, blending, and refining to finish a piece. All of the art is started in Microsoft Paintbrush. The finishing process is done using Photoshop Elements.

Thank you, Vincent. These ancient sites are at least from 2500 BC. They are burial sites for The Ancients, most probably Celtic. Like all such places, they are considered hallowed ground and are protected by the Irish Government and people.

Modern people owe much to The Ancients. Our entire fabric of life was founded on their strong shoulders. Each generation gives something to the next. Sometimes those gifts are not understood without a lot of research. Sometimes a touch of mystery is all right, too. ;-)
