The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Depicted are two figures from a vintage patent illustration, possibly for a uniform cap or a related accessory, with various annotations and reference numbers pointing to different parts of the designs. The top figure seems to represent a side view while the bottom figure appears to show a plan or a cross-sectional view, with the document dated January 31, 1933, and filed on May 22, 1931, by inventor Albert R. Stern.
