Sunrise in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. This picture was taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Doughton Park. The night before was filled with periodic rain. As the sun began to rise, the skies started to clear. The ray of brilliant sunlight filtering through the trees seemed to bring a confidence of hope for a new day.

This is so beautiful. I am sure an image that is reminiscent of different things to different people. This reminds me of younger days riding the trails on horseback to make sure that all the barbed wire fencing was secured around the farm. Treasured memories.
