The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

very nice, love the colour not keen on the white tastle border but i like it, i'm going to use it as blanket for my hamock,
I love irony. In this case, the irony of the once bright (I imagine) brass plaque advising visitors that they must be properly dressed, hung just-so on an ornate but worn and somewhat grungy wooden door made me smile. The bright, lopsided reflection of the building across the street only added to the nature and aspirations of the somewhat incongruous little sign.
Seen on the door of an establishment in one of my favorite little towns, beautiful Ellicott City, Maryland, captured in June of 2008. Knowing this is the site of devastating recent floods, July 2016, it's my sincere hope that this establishment escaped harm.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally. Please be aware that we are currently experiencing a glitch in our system. The images in...

Lois, Time is such a good make-up artist, changing the outer surface and giving new meanings. This picture is multi - layered and frames a whole story ! WONDERFUL !
Lois Bryan replied:
So glad you liked this one, Brian!!
Cheryl Rose
This is a fabulous wooden door with many stories to tell ... and I love the irony/humor you noted, Lois!! It still has the pride! I hope it survived the flooding, too. Wonderful capture and mood! l/f
Lois Bryan replied:
Very well said, Cheryl ... yes, the door, if not the owners of the establishment, still has his pride. I haven't visited Ellicott City since the flooding, but the city itself has surged to rebuild, and it has reopened for the public.
Stuart Harrison
Sometimes things just pop up that catch one's eye. I call them gems.....this fantastic work is one of them. A real "Gem". Well done Lois......well done
Lois Bryan replied:
Stuart, thank you ... yes so true ... fortunately this time I had my camera with me. Doesn't it bug the stuffinz out of you when you find one of those "gems" ... but ... no camera to hand????
Joel Bruce Wallach
This delightfully curious discovery has a quirky intriguing beauty of its own, Lois, and the warped reflection completes the scene!
Lois Bryan replied:
Huge thanks, Joel ... yes, it was a funny little thing to see on this worn old door. Shades of better days gone by, I think.
