immersion in life, fine attention to detail, rich color and depth; I love it when an artist shows us something we can't see with the naked eye. A tiger's neutral gaze while drinking is a gorgeous sight to an invisible observed! And I love that the piece is named for the dragonfly, not the tiger. Thank you Mr. Fredrickson. well done!

The artwork itself is fantastic. Captures the spirit of the original NASA photos while having its own unique twist. It's always interesting to look at. Excellent work! I thought it would look great in a larger format, so I took a chance on a 48"x38" metal print. First, the packaging for the print is huge. A single courier was able to deliver the piece, and I did manage to unbox and unwrap it myself, but it would have been a lot easier with two people in an open plan area. You absolutely need two people to hang the piece. There's a metal frame boxed along the back which includes two hanging points (hooks included, taped to the back of the frame). Even though the piece is big, the aluminium itself is lightweight and doesn't require heavy duty screws. I would think at this size it would be easier to hang and maneuver than a canvas piece with a wooden frame. The glossy finish is the biggest strength and weakness of the format. The colours are vibrant and there's a nice "pop" to the image under the right lighting conditions, but it's also highly reflective and catches a lot of glare directly across from windows. This won't be as much of an issue with smaller prints. Positioning is key! Metal prints are available with a matte (and even brushed) finish directly from the manufacturers, so I would like to see Fineartamerica add this option in the future for greater flexibility. Otherwise, highly recommended for the right artwork.

I love this picture so much. It reminds me of my favorite cave, Stephens Gap in Alabama, as well as one of my favorite things, space!!

The Tracie Davis art is difficult to come by and prices were excellent at Fine Art America. Decided to have it printed on metal background (wood frame supports it from back). Wow. Makes the artwork really stand out. Much better than print on paper.
