Blair - a girlfriend got me to go to some orchid clubs, and since I love purple, thought this would be fun. If you noticed the dragonfly - it's a pin you wear! A bit of whimsy. Thank you so much for your compliments. :D

Gorgeous color and detail Alanna!! I love this one!!

And it adds just the right "special" touch. I love your style. I get to spend more time looking at your art now... had to run off to a dinner but I'm back for more beautiful art and inspiration. :-)

Angela - I'm late in my reply, so please forgive me. I do want to thank you so much for enjoying my paintings. Thank you again.

Alanna, this is gorgeous! It appears 3-D! I LOVE IT! What attracts me to this piece is that it bears the same title that as what I was originally going to use for my mixed media piece called Passionate Expression (which you commented on). In the wee hours of the morning, I decided to call the piece exactly what it was (a passionate expression of missing my son and loving him so much) and that led to me discovering your WONDERFUL work. Your Purple Passion is a new favorite for me! :-)

Angela, thank you so much for your lovely comments. Like minds on titles! :D The dragonfly is a pin! I just plunked it on. Again, thank you. :D

Carol, thank you. The dragonfly really likes being on the painting. :D Never though I'd do florals much, but now it's a frontrunner. Thank you again.

This is charming! Love the touch of the dragonfly. Your florals are very nice.

Dian, thank you so much for your comments. The girl who got me intereted in Orchids loved purple. She later gave me the dragonfly pin, so I just stuck the little sucker on. :D The colors matched. Your painting of Mother Theresa is inspirational. She was a living Saint. I believe I could start with a painting like yours with the lady in the field - only hints of a face. :D And thank you for offering advice on portraits. I might just try one sometime.

Suri, thank you so much. You know I'm a great fan of your work. :D

Very lovely work Ananna. I had a very free and pleasant time to view this and finds this most appealing with wonderful colours.
