My wife is a huge fan of Ms. Sisti's work. I am also but my wife is the one who introduced me and she is just a huge fan. I have bought this as a Christmas present. I can not wait to see her with the gift. My next purchase, I hope it to be of Grizzly Bears from Yellowstone, Rasberry and Snow. I think that is their names but I am at the age where names sometimes just bounce around inside the cranial vault. We have our own pictures of the two and we actually met Ms Sisti while taking the photos. Thanks for your work. My wife loves horses. I rescued a wolf back in the 80s so I have a love for Wolves. If I get more room in the house I plan to purchase more of her work. May God Bless. I have no photo of the photo. I have not given the present yet. Doug Mattox

Mike Moyers's work was such a great find! We have a friend whose favorite Gospel passage is John 21:12 ("Come, have breakfast") and so this could not have been a more perfect gift. Very high quality and quick service as well. We also love the Advent series and will be purchasing more in the future.

Such a beautiful shot! Having worked on this aircraft, it will always have a special place in my heart! I proudly placed this photograph in my office and get many comments about it!

Artist's Description

This abstract piece was made using encaustic wax. Encaustic is an ancient technique which has had a rebirth of interest in both the artist and collector world. It is amazingly resilient and can actually be polished with a soft cloth to add dimension and movement with the sheen. I am pleased to add this to my series on Unreal.

About Cathy Minerva

After a successful career writing pre-school curriculum, I have retired from the "real world" to pursue my lifelong dream of creating and selling art. I create in many mediums but my true passions are encaustics (molten wax) and water color pencil portraits. I also work in clay, acrylics, water colors, fabric and re-purposing items that would normally end up in our landfills. As a child, I won numerous art contests and thought I would go immediately into the art world when I grew up. Reality of the literal term starving artist set in quickly so I found a career and worked until I retired almost 3 yrs. ago. I have a fascination with texture, faces and eyes in particular. Painting with an iron ( yes, an iron) about the size of a travel...
