Description
This drawing represents a quantum seashell or nautilus, which is a commonly occurring fractal in the universe. Fractals are intricate geometric patterns that exhibit self-similarity at various scales. The formation of this seashell is deeply intertwined with and derived from the Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones (e.g., 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, and so on).
The structure of the seashell arises from the vibrations and rotational motions of objects in the universe. Just as we revolve around the sun and gradually move closer to it, every object follows its own unique path through points in spacetime. These paths often exhibit a spiraling motion or are influenced by derivatives of the Fibonacci sequence. This natural occurrence reveals the inherent beauty of numbers in motion.
While the concept behind this phenomenon may seem elegantly simple, the complexity of the resulting patterns becomes infinitely intricate as the motion continues. The drawing captures the mesmerizing interplay between mathematical principles and the physical world, showcasing the profound harmony and complexity that can arise from seemingly basic mathematical concepts.

Giorgio Vaselli
Hi! I'm Giorgio Vaselli, organizer of the Energy Art Movement - a new contemporary movement, that is already no.4 in Google for "art movement", ahead of all art movements in history. I would like to invite you to participate with this piece in our first annual competition, the Energy Art Salon Competition 2009. We have an excellent jury of artists (not critics/curators). Thank you for considering to enter! http://www.energyartmovement.org/competition/ http://www.energyartmovement.org/competition/submissions/ (I am inviting only a select few from the earlier FAA contest.)
