Description
The Radcliffe Camera (camera being the medieval name for room) was built between 1737 and 1749 and is the earliest example of a round reading room. It still serves that purpose for the Bodleian Library of Oxford University. Its underground storehouse contains 600,000 books. Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Copyright 2009 Ann Horn.
