Hi Reynold! Thank you so much. I've just completed a new work called 'Idylls of the King', but I can't show it here yet because it's going in for a competition and the rules say it can't be up for sale at time of entry. When I can I'll put it up - meanwhile I'm working on another one which will be my Christmas card this year (yes, I do plan that far ahead!), but it's a standalone painting as well so as soon as it's done it'll be on the site as my first new published effort for about seven months. So good to be working again and thank you again for your support Reynold - I really do appreciate it.

Foreboding, haunting image, Nigel. Well done. FAV.....................Here is a message carried forward on your question.. Thank you, Nigel. Yes--8 books are in the series and we begin releasing the series September 15 and a new book release every two weeks. Several spin-off books bring the count up to 12 books in all. http://biccomix.com/seedsfromheaven.htm

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you Reynold. And I'm not surprised that you have success in books with your beautiful paintings. I'll be looking at them today!

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you Marcia. This one has much personal meaning for me.

Kim Peto

Kim Peto

Wonderful work Nigel. It's so very peaceful.

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you Kim. The spot this is set in is one of the most peaceful places I know. Too far from any road for traffic noise to reach. All you ever hear is the wind in the trees, the water lapping at the quay nearby and the eerie sound of wading birds calling. It's just magical.

Paul Davenport

Paul Davenport

Lovely work Nigel - really like the colour pallet!... still fascinate me that people crossed the North Sea in these!

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you very much Paul. It is amazing - apparently they may have reached the Americas by coast hopping - if true that would be a mind boggling feat.

Adelle Reardon

Alberto Mirabal

Alberto Mirabal

Hey Nigel great find! I like the silver lining tone:) l/f

Nigel Follett replied:

Thanks Alberto. This is a free hand digital painting - although both the long ship and the landscape are real, they do not exist together in the real world; the painting is a product of my imagination.

Alberto RuiZ

Alberto RuiZ

I love the scene. Fantastic!

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you Alberto! :-)

Henryk Gorecki

Henryk Gorecki

Fantastic painting,Nigel!Raw landscape and gloomy story,excellent illustration!-L,F

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you Henryk. The original reference photos of the landscape were taken on a very rainy day in Cornwall, UK. When I came to paint it I added in the clouds to be more threatening and the mist on the water, which I hoped would add to the general gloom. Painting in the long boat was a challenge to get the light correct, as unfortunately there is no actual long boat there! Whenever I go back there I half expect to see it...

Marvelous mood in this fabulous digital painting, Nigel! L/F

Nigel Follett replied:

Thank you very much Hazel. I think the weather helped - it was pouring with rain most of the day and I had to dodge in between downpours.
