I was disappointed with my print. It is much darker than the web page would suggest, giving much of the feeling of a grey winter's day than the sunny one it appeared to show. I was just glad I hadn't ordered a framed copy. Having worked with students printing at an art school, I know that colour can be altered before printing digital copies, so was not happy to be told by Fine Art that nothing could be done. I have chosen to keep it, since no-one else supplies it and I love the scene, but won't be displaying it and would not make further purchases of prints online.

Artist's Description
This painting comes from the mushroom hunting my husband and son have been so absorbed in for many, many years. They have travelled from Ohio to the northern tip of Michigan to find morells. Since mushrooms seems to elude me when I'm on one of their trips, I take my sketch book and camera and get material for paintings. This is the result of one of our May trips to the woods. It is painted in watercolor on mounted watercolor board. The original is not for sale since I have given it to my husband, but, of course, prints are available through this wonderful Fine Art America .
About Lois Mountz
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois plays hammered dulcimer and is also a church organist. She composes poetry and music and has a blog at wordpress under the title, alittleartmusicandpoetry.
