In 2007, the State of Oklahoma designated the Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive an official state Centennial event. It was a reenactment of the 1880s so-named historic cattle drives and it took a month to complete. I've written a book that is on blurb, Riding the Chisholm Trail, the only documentation and stories of some of the cowboys who took part. This image is at the final day of the first week of the event, where cowboys camped on private land that also was used in the 1880s.
