Title
Redbud Tree In Oldtown Springtime
Artist
Bobbi Baltzer-Jacobo
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
The only finished painting that I have done in "plein air", on location! I am a Studio Artist, otherwise. I saw this beautiful redbud tree on a Spring morning and knew that I had to paint it! It was a challenge, with the bees, wind, a crazy and playful puppy running around and knocking my easel over, several times! This is softer and looser in approach than alot of my more 'hard-edged realism' type paintings. I am glad that I stuck with it and completed it, over several days, as the blossoms hung on. It was painted from an old alley area. The painting continues on around the sides, top and bottom. It is wired and ready to hang.
