Lovely! Congrats on the sale!

I have my version too, great job

The color of water is incredible beautiful.

Elizabeth...No, thankfully this one is not in limbo! This painting was a 50th birthday present which is why I didn't mark it as "sold." Thanks! Annie, I appreciate your comment, especially since you've lived in Venice. This was the first 'water' painting I ever did. I still like it, although I think I have improved my technique on water a bit since then.

I hope this isn't one of the ones in limbo Hunter? Nice.. Keeping fingers crossed...Liz

Nice color contrast of the water in the shade of the building with the water in the sun... I lived in Italy for 5 years and I miss Venice. Nice job on this. :)

This was a gift to a person who is restoring a prairie. This year she has 14 herons gathering on the banks of the Little Sioux River. The tote bag was well received.

About Hunter Jay

My art career began in 1964 with drawings of Godzilla in battle with squadrons of fighter jets. Fellow first graders were my early collectors for these scenes of chaos; all free for the asking. At the time, no one knew I'd rather draw cars and castles, but the Godzilla drawings were so popular and made my friends so happy, I couldn't resist. When I was ten years old, my parents (AKA Santa Claus) gave me a microscope for Christmas. The entire process of using the microscope fascinated me; the lens that had two settings, the little rectangular glass slides, even the gray metal box it came in! But of course the best thing was getting a good look into an infinitely tiny magical world. A grain of sugar became a revelation to me. A blade of...
