An old tractor on what was once the Thompson family farm. it was owned by my grandfather (who passed away in the 1970s) for many years. It then went to my Uncle Larry and his family. Since then the land and house has changed hands several times. The barn is now gone and the house is in an advanced state of disrepair. I stauyed in the house on several occasions when growing up and recall it fondly, after all, my dad was born here in 1917.
I love creating photographic art! My life in photography offically began when I was in Hong Kong in 1966. I was in the U.S. Navy and my ship anchored in Hong Kong Harbor for a few days for R&R. While there, I purchased a Asahi Pentax 35mm camera and lots of film, taking lots of pictues of all of the touristy stuff. Later, while still in the navy I traded the Pentax for a Nikon F, and that for a Hasselblad 500c. With the Hasselblad I finally met my match as I couldn't afford any extra lenses or film backs as they cost more than the camera with its 80mm lens. So here I am many years later, still taking pictures. My favrorte photographic subjects include birds, including birds in flight, wildlife other than birds, landscapes, trains,...
