We were at the balloon festival in Quechee Vermont, when the mist was rising and the balloon was rising at the same time. Hearing the blast of heat to help the balloon rise and the lone person had a solitude feeling about it.

Wonderful piece. Lots of texture, color, interest. The narrowing red and white stripes all pointing to the gondola give an almost defiant, anchored feel to the whole piece, contrasting with, on the other hand, the festive nature of the event.
