Medium
Digital Art - Digitally Simulated Serigraph
Description
I used my original watercolor painting of the view from Hoosier Pass between Breckenridge and Alma, Colorado as inspiration for this digital piece. For many years, my main media was silkscreen printing. I figured out a way to simulate serigraphy in the computer. I first did a line drawing from the painting, and then filled in each tree and mountain with blended colors. The finishing details were hand drawn, scanned into my computer, and overlaid onto the image in colors of my choice....very similar to silkscreen printing without the toxic chemicals!

This is so amazing, Annie! I thought when I saw it that it was a silkscreen. I so love the graphic qualities and superb composition! Thanks for sharing your process.
