A beautiful printed card I will frame. Susie is a versatile artist and I always enjoy her art.

I love the artist and usually purchase her originals or prints and have been extremely satisfied with them, but this original and some others were sold so I purchased cards to frame. I have to comment that this card was a little dark and if it could be lightened a little, it would better represent the artwork. The artist is one of my favorites.

About Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND
REACH BEYOND, my logo and general theme and goal, usually is the first painting on the left of the top row, or near there. Go ahead and click on it now to open it up for a much better look. And if you're interested, then just go on to more of the paintings. You can always come back and read what I wrote about me. But I seriously hope that these paintings present various facets of my perceptions of our world -- or wishes FOR it -- more vividly -- or at least differently -- than writing can. They mutely show what objects and situations I think merit attention and from what points of view I choose to present them and in what medium and style. I hope that perhaps some, or even a part of one, will touch and vibrate with some part of you,...

Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND
Hi again, and thanks, Crystal. Actually, I don't use a brush except for fine bits like hair, etc., which I don't do much of anymore anyway. Actually, I devoted a lot more time and precision to this painting than with most. I wanted to prove (to myself) that I could imagine and paint a reasonalbe facsimile to real metal exploding and breaking up. Those and most others I manage to do manipulating a palette knife. As I've read somebody else saying, too, I got tired of washing brushes. So, no oil because it smells and another messy clean-up and I just lack patience and life enough to wait for parts to dry. So, hope you like the free lecture!

I like how you use your paint brush ,very strong strokes it seems!

The lavender color in this abstract is perfect! I love your abstracts! Thank you, Bruce!
