I saw the picture and immediately had to purchase it. My bedroom theme is American Indians and the West of yesteryear. This is a picture that fits in perfect with the rest of my collection.Plus the fact, we live in Corning, Iowa where Johnny Carson was born. In fact my wife's mother babysat with him when living there, and our family doctor was Doctor Bain...is that a hoot or what? J. Douglas Sickler in beautiful Pella, Iowa.

Always great purchases in the past, but I didn't notice the change in sizes. I wanted an 11x14 so that is what I looked at. didn't realize that the actual size was larger. Had to get a larger frame to hold and trim the product as it doesnt' fit properly to frames 11x14 or 12x16

Artist's Description
This is a colorful rendition of the second-stage rocket engine of the Delta IV. This is an end view, looking down toward fuel lines, pumps, and a pulley system that deploys an extendible carbon-carbon nozzle. The satellite payload would be attached at the center, coming out of the canvas. The artist worked on computer models for this engine in her previous career as an aerospace engineer, using finite element methods to calculate structural loads due to vibrations during liftoff. Janet co-authored a paper entitled "Impact of Dynamics on the Design of the RL10B-2 Extendible Carbon-Carbon Exit Cone," and one of the figures from this presentation served as the inspiration for this painting.
