The Coyote Buttes in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument contain some of the most intricate and beautifully coloured rock formations on the planet. The area is divided into two parts, the North Coyote Buttes and the South Coyote Buttes. Both areas require a permit from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) who allow only twenty people per day to enter each area.
