Peggy King replied:

Many thanks, Larry, for your support and comment!

I adore the rose of sharon, one of my favorites. Beautifully rendered. V/F

Incredible work Peggy! You sure have a keen eye for composition. Great work!

Congratulations on the sale of this beautiful watercolor Peggy!

Rose of Sharon. Very nice Painting Peggy. I have them growing in the Tortoise compound. When they fall off they are gobbled up by my African Tortoises. But before that the Humming Birds get them. Recycle anyone! Thanks for the tail of the Black Widow. I captured the old girl and set her down on white cardboard for her photo session. The reason was to get the perspective right for the shadows falling from her shapely legs? Then i drew and painted her with Acrylics on Bristol Board. She now resides out back. She is now a beauty queen.

This is really gorgeous, Peggy. I have lots growing in my yard, but usually do not think of them as being as lovely as they really are.

Congratulations Peggy -- you have won second place in the Close Up Florals contest. Continued to success to you in your artistic endeavors! Kindest regards, Terry Mulligan

Dear Peggy, Thanks so much for your understanding and endearing words. I'm glad that you do not think it was inappropriate for me to talk about my friend Betty Boyce, whose picture, Flowers on Fancy Table, is posted on my FAA site. You are right. I am already grieving. By the way, I still adore this picture: Rose of Sharon. I will return to your site often. anne

From an artist with such diverse and wonderful talent, this is truly taken as a compliment. Thank you AEW!

Peggy King, You could be called Queen of watercolor, your work is so GREAT.

Peggy, thank you for the comment. You are a dark horse aren't you? Didn,t know you could paint so beautifully also. Love this painting

Thank you for your wonderful comments - they are very much appreciated.

Your photography is wonderful & will make great reference material for you. The Rose of Sharon is gorgeous - so very well done. Reminds me of the Rose of Sharon trees that lined the whole length of our driveway in Connecticut - we had several this very same color. Thanks for sharing & bringing back some pleasant memories. :)

Hai Peggy, Your return to paintings is really a gain. I like your color combination and the depth.

Peggy, What a beautiful flower painting! Looks like it comes from the hibiscus family. Love it! Aloha, Marionette

Hello Peggy: Thank you for your comment on my work. I really like the colors of this piece...it must be very gratifying to get back to painting after 20 years! Congratulations and best wishes on your painting adventures. Andrew Orr

This is one of my favourite places in Cornwall and somewhere I walk early in the morning when I am on holiday! I bought the card for my youngest Son's girlfriend as she loves that area too!

This card could be my Granddaughter, the same hair colour and roughly the same age! It captures the special moments young children have on the beach discovering all the wonderful things they find there!

Bought this for my daughter's birthday! She will be 38 in January and all the family holiday in Cornwall every year! This photo captures the love of the coastline we all have down there and the girl is so like my daughter it could be her!

This photo is stunning! Coming through the tunnel frames Mount Rushmore perfectly!

About Peggy King

While art, whether it be drawing or painting or creating in clay, was my first love all through my younger years, after high school I went into a secretarial course at college. The following year I left school altogether, married and started my family. As a stay-at-home-Mom I found my creative outlet in crafts of all descriptions, and in cake decorating and the 'confectionery arts' which I also taught for more than 25 years from my home. Many of my greatest friends today were introduced to me as they sat at my dining room table decades ago in those classes. About 2008, I set aside the icing bags and picked up the paint brushes again! At the same time I began taking pictures with the intent of using them as reference for future...
