The print is beautiful but it came totally bent and unable to frame. We will see if Fine Art will replace the print.

Artist's Description

This egg tempera painting of an old sign that I saw on an old barn near Rutledge Georgia felt like an interesting subject. The sign and barn are now gone as are many of the old farm buildings in Georgia. I started painting and photographing old structures around 35 years ago and concentrated on old Georgia farm buildings around 26 years ago. Since I began my documentation of these structures, about 80% have vanished from the landscape often being replaced by metal quonset huts or other less interesting structures.

In the 70's I studied painting and illustration techniques under popular animal artists Robert C. Kray and George Luther Schelling. I won 1st place in oils and acrylics for a train painting in the US Navy-wide Juried Art Show in Norfolk VA in 1974 and later was selected to develop murals related to the National Bicentennial in Luzerne County, PA. In the 70's, I received many commissions for portraits...
