Mary Deal replied:

Mary Beth, I found some studio lights and screens and stuff in an estate sale; have a little studio set up in one room. Am in the process of making the space larger still. Still need to learn best use of it all. Thanks for your comments and F.V.

What a wonderful blue color

Thank you, Collette, for the feature in the group Colors Blue Turquoise Photography and Paint.

Vanessa and Nadia, this was something new I had to try... especially when during my daily walk I saw the trees had shed so many of these.

I like this so much, I can't decide between it and the other blue still life.

A fine still life composition in blue!

I've ordered three mags to compliment the team that participated in the shoot. One of the mags came broken. Considering the foamy package, that happened at the packaging stage rather than on the delivery.

Artist's Description

Blue Rudraksha seeds are totally inedible but the image will look great with the right decor. The Rudraksha tree is from India. They grow well over 50-70 feet tall. There is a small forest near my home. I also have some Rudraksha photos posted. When the Rudraksha seeds dry and the blue hulls fall off, the extremely hard seeds inside. These blue tree seeds are made into jewelry or meditation beads.
