The orange color of rust emerges from a field of turquoise blue paint in this contemporary abstract painting. Textures, shapes, and touches of yellow, orange, and black balance with the cool blue surface of the canvas. The design is modern and the colors are bold. This work won first place in the March 2016 Fine Art America Contest, Abstract Art for Home and Business. The original painting was created on a 20x24 inch stretched canvas with professional grade acrylic paints. The 1-1/2 inch deep sides are painted black. The art can be hung with or without a frame.
