Beautiful model, and the ham is pretty funny...the puzzle pieces are a solid thick cardboard. The white background will make it a challenging puzzle for sure!

Thanks- since my sister passed, all my brother in law does is watch the Hallmark channel on TV and do puzzles. He really, really liked doing the Pony Express puzzle. Said it was the best puzzle. High praise from a man who has put together 56 puzzles in the past 2 years.
