This is my second picture of Pittsburgh. I have a Norman Schumm photo in my office. This is in the dining room. The significance of the picture aside from it being my birthplace, is my father (Don Yochum Sr) was on the Carnegie Mellon team that assisted in the Ft Pitt tunnel and bridge design in the 1950s. This was before CAD/CAM and he built a 3D model. That ended up being the start of Tech Industrial Models, which my dad ran until his death in the late 90s. He was also an artist working in Lucite and iron. I am trying to track down some of his previous works, which are probably in storage where they were first commissioned.
