About Asha Carolyn Young
Born in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I've lived in California since high school. After many years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to the northern California coast to enjoy open spaces and nature. I paint in several modes: plein air and representational painting with oil on canvas; mixed media abstracts on paper and canvas; and painting on old wooden doors. This is the first I am seeing this one - -I am a bit jealous since you did not send it to urban images - the painting of the fence is brilliant! I tried placing a fence in the foreground of an etching I did years ago and really did not do a very good job of it, it lacked the 3-dimensionality, pattern, and fluid movement yours has. Wonderful picture!
