Got a print on wood and it’s just gorgeous. The areas that would be white show as transparent to the wood. Colors are bright, and the surface has a nice satin sheen, almost matte, that works well with the wood. Very happy!

A detail of a tenor saxophone, mostly middle keys with a glimpse of the horn in the foreground. The angle gives an active feel and the colours in the shiny brass have been lightly heightened so up close you see some surprising colours.
About Peter Brandt
Having drawn from a very young age, I discovered the craft of composition through (pre-digital) black and white photography, which led me into monochromatic lino printing. While there I wanted to revisit my drawing roots, and I chanced upon the satisfying feel of soft pastel on raw canvas. An early fling with bold colours gave way to a simple palette of black, white, and one, usually subtle colour. Gradually more colours have joined in, and I am currently experimenting with different, often unexpected colour combinations. My influences include Alphonse Mucha, for his sheer drafting skills and sense of design; Amadeo Modigliani for his impetuosity and immediateness; and Man Ray and Warhol for their willingness to think outside the...
