Great canvas and framing. A decent shipping time, and EXCEPTIONAL safe packaging. Just an appropriate image for my viewing/listening room. Just took the speaker grills off for this photo.
About Canis Canon
Canis Canon makes art - and other cool stuff - in West Texas. He sings, but he don't dance or jump. He tells true stories, fables, parables and lies - sometimes all at once. He once rode a trolley car to the gates of Hell, but jumped ship before his ticket got punched. Canis never met a man he didn't like, but he's met a lot of overgrown boys he can't abide. He may write more here later, but this is plenty for right now.

Omigawd Canis....ouch!!!! I presume "gauges" are those rather large circular dodahs that I have seen as piercings? You are going to have to explain to me (PM if you like) what your motivation was....I am ravenously curious!!!
Canis Canon replied:
Hahaha! Gauges are simply large diameter plugs one uses in leu of earrings. As for motivation, I dunno...there was a friend of our family back in the 70's who looked - and sounded - a lot like a kid would imagine Blackbeard the pirate to look and sound like. He was fun and scary and he had a gold earring in one ear. I thought he was awesome, and I wanted earrings ever after. When I was 26 I finally got mine pierced and I've gauged up over the years - though I likely won't go any larger than I have now. Got some tat action as well, but no gold teeth so far, me hearty ;)

oh my good lord, this is brilliant, love his expression v
Canis Canon replied:
Hahah! Thank you! I really was proud of that expression too - thanks for noticing!

This evokes so many different thoughts for me that I am not sure which ones to traipse after! Feels like great social satire on many fronts (political, mind control, etc.) as well as how many people are walking around feeling these days! I cannot help but laugh at what could be taken as a statement relating to what I consider the bizarre obsession of a segment of the population with poking innumerable holes into various parts of their bodies...some of them rather large holes. I think human beings are already over-challenged just dealing with the ones we are born with...so cannot subscribe to adding even more! Very vivid, striking, and awesome work!!! v/f
Canis Canon replied:
Thank you Rory. I'm never entirely sure what my pieces are about, but I love your take on it haha. As Edward Hopper said, "If I could say it, I wouldn't have to paint it". PS. I have 1/4" gauges in both ears ;)
