About Lisa Gabrius
I began my art career as a teenager when my mother's interest in photography became my own. I continued my education in photography in college at Saint Leo University in Florida for fun while obtaining a Biology degree. While in college, I developed a cancerous tumor that had to be removed necessitating a semester off from school. During my recovery at home, my mother insisted I attend an oil painting class she and my sister were taking. I reluctantly went, but it became one of the best things I had ever done. Photography and painting have become my most favorite pastimes. I have expanded my interests and work to include acrylics, watercolor, and mixed media.
