Description
Seborrhoeic keratoses. These growths are benign and harmless skin tumours of the superficial cells of the epidermis. Typically brown, slightly raised with a soft wart-like appearance, they are not true warts nor are they derived from sebaceous glands. They are often referred to as 'old age barnacles' due to their stuck-on the skin morphology. Removal is by cryotherapy, surgery, or laser treatment.
