Description
I was lucky enough to be the Artist in Residence for the 150 Year Anniversary Earnest Shackleton Convention at the RGS.
Here is a plein air watercolour of Malcolm Rennie's "Shackleton's Carpenter". Chippy McNish, the man who challenged "The Boss" struggles with the ghosts of his past.
AI:A man stands passionately with one arm raised, possibly delivering a speech or making a point, as he stands aboard a stranded wooden boat. There is a cage to his right and a broken fence, creating a sense of despair or abandonment.
