I am fond of nostalgia photographic subject matter so I enjoyed a photo safari I made to a Shaker village in the Berkshire Mountains. The Shakers, an American religious sect, are credited with inventing the flat broom that we use today. Prior to this, brooms were rounded like a witches� broom and less efficient. To bring income into their religious communes, the Shakers farmed, and made other items they were known for such as oval boxes and cloaks. There is more where this came from. I don't put all my best pieces at the beginning of the galleries. I tried but the website always reorganizes them. You have to page through the galleries to find the gold.
