Very peaceful and stable work.

Antonia - I agree with the dreses of the era - women knew how to dress then! Although - in the summer - very hot. egads Thank you so very much for your lovely comments and the F/V. I do truly appreciate it. :D

Alanna, gorgeous dresses, adore the colors. Of a by gone era, makes me a little sad!!! f/v

Alfred - thank you so very much for your very kind comments. Having gone to your site (which is incredible - red moon over Berlin :D), you have a truly individual and beautiful style of painting places from your country. My family is originally from Fussen, and my husband and I have many wonderful memories of visiting your lovely country. Thank you again for such lovely comments. :D I do appreciate it.

Really wonderfully painted conversation between two Ladies in their breathtaking gowns! v/f

Latha - thank you so very much. It's still unfinished - so I guess I should take it off FAA, huh. oopsie For some reason, painting dresses is a lot of fun for me and I hope to paint dresses from various periods in history. Latha, I do appreciate you taking the time to comment and F/V. :D Namaste wa shukrahn jazeelan.

Dear Alanna, love this beautiful work of two close friends sharing their thoughts !!!!!!! Your colors are absolutely incredible........(f/v)

Lil - thank you so much for your lovely comments about this painting. I've worked on it since then and enjoy it. Your comments really made my day/week,etc., and are very appreciated. :D Alanna

Alanna, I've been remiss in never thanking you for visiting my site and I just want to say, this is such an exquisite piece, full of emotion and romance with vibrant colors that feel so wonderfully old-fashioned. I love the way you've painted it and I also know sometimes ideas need to percolate for a while and then you have the "AHA" knowledge of how you'll do it. I've been known to get up in the middle of night because of this! You waited until your idea was perfect to finish and your added touches make it so special! v/f

Leslie - I just went to your site. A fellow animal lover! Your works are gorgeous. We lived in Huntsville and Madison, AL for many years. :D

Fantastic work Alanna, v!!

Leslie - thank you so much. It still isn't finished as I have to do a few paintings for a two month show in May/June. One of these days.... lol Again, thank you so very much.

Very sweet image, very nice! f/v

Kume, thank you again for your thoughts on yet another painting. It's not finished yet! Guess I should really take it off until I do. lol

Gwen, thank you so much. (The painting isn't finished yet, and I've changed the whiteish dress to gold so you can see it more.) I remember dressing up also. Great memories. It's wonderful how paintings and photographs can put us to lovely places in our memories! Again, thank you. Are you going to do a series of faeries? Hope so! :D

I like this it re v/fminds me of my sister and I with out the great outfits though!! love it!

Hello Chrisann! You always make my day/week. Thank you for your lovely comments. I think I'm going to redo the white dress (with hints of pink in it) in a gold satin. And then finish the rest of the painting! lol I like how the red dress came out also. :D And it wasn't that hard. Bet the gold one will be though! We'll see. Make sure I know when your portraits are on here, OK? :D

I can't wait to see this finished... The red dress looks so velvet.. with excellent lights! Keep up the great work :):)

Catalina, just looked at your site. Gorgeous. Thank you so much for you gracious comments. I'd love to add this, however, it's not finished yet! Want me to send it anyway? Best wishes, Alanna

Chrisann - a fav and it's not finished yet! Thank you so muchy for your comments on the red dress. It was a lot of fun to do - a LONG time ago. Think I'll redo the other dress. In person, you can see the swirls and the colors, but on on camera. It kind of disappears. Golds and yellows perhaps? You always inspire me. :D

Alanna, This is Outstanding... Such A beautiful Red dress... this is my favorite now :)

This is still to be finished and quite old. Like you, I have to admit to enjoying the red dress. The other needs more color - definitely. lol I very much enjoyed your comment on the red dress. Thank you. :D

Lovely! The highlights and shadows on the red dress are convincing...A very nice piece!!
