An uncommon sight along the California coast...an abandoned ship on a quiet beach in Santa Barbara, California. I have been to this beach many times, but have only seen this one time, in the summer of 2012. In fact, it is the only time I have ever come across an abandoned ship of any type on any of our beaches, and I am very happy to have had the chance to photograph it!
Found on Butterfly Beach, across the street from the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel.
I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. Love this ! I once went to Santa Barbara and there was a huge vessel that was beached. It was an overcasy day... and very spooky. We're talking many moons ago.
