Description
It was a bright and sunny morning. The temperature was minus 17 Celsius but there was no wind. I set up my easel overlooking the little bay that hold the floating dock. The sun was warm on my back. I liked the way the shadows trailed across the snow and ice and then up the far bank. A racoon had strolled along the shoreline during the last mild spell and left tracks in the now frozen snow and ice. It would be a tough existence this time of year.
The mergansers in the open water of Jim Day Rapids were nervous with my presence but still hung around to fish. The ice was cracking like the reports from a cap gun. It was a beautiful morning until the wind picked up.

I just love every one of your pieces.
Phil Chadwick replied:
Thank you so very much for your generous support Jennifer. Artists tend to be solitary creatures. The web and FAA have allowed us to kind of meet other artists.
