Description
A handsome male Eastern Towhee settles in on a comfy tree branch on a soft spring day. After a few flutters and fluffs of his beautiful feathers, he begins the concert. His "Drink Your Teeeeee!" and other songs are guaranteed to attract any pretty females in the garden.
In reality, the poor bird was actually hunkered down in a hollowed out cleft in a huge snowdrift on our back deck, protected from the ferocious winter winds, munching on sunflower seeds that I'd thrown out for him and his buddies.
