It’s okay. As a yoga mat, it’s not exactly nonslip.

I did not recieve this yoga mat that I orderd.
This is one of four wrens that are feeding babies. One pair has a nest under the eaves and the other pair is nesting under the roof of our bow window in the kitchen. They are constantly bringing in spiders, caterpillars, and all manner of insects. Especially hard hit are the wolf spiders I call "buzzing spiders" because they shake their abdomens in the dried leaves to announce their presence. It could also be that they are stridulating with legs or something and I don't see that. Anyway, this little character just sings the day away:>).
This picture was taken April 25, 2013, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA.

I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....

I love wrens. I don't know how such a tiny bird can sing with so much volume! Nice shot!

What is it about these guys that makes them so charming? Who wouldn't love a wren?
