LOVE this Phil - nicely done! My favorite time of the year as well and I prefer "Autumn" to "Fall" any time!

Phil Chadwick replied:

Yes... the best time to paint is coming up! Thank you Bruce!

What a nice surprise... and the framing looks perfect. Thank you!

So disappointed with the quality of the towel. Not only was the towel cheap, the graphics were horrible. Do not buy! I returned mine.

I love the authenticity of the image, a lot of images are cartoony. This is a perfect rendition of gorillas. Love it!

I was so impressed by Stuart’s uniquely beautiful and well composed images. His ability to capture these rare and amazing natural moments truly seem to be his gift. I look forward to purchasing more of these spectacular images and can barely wait to see what is yet to come. Given the fast paced, impersonal, wifi based society we are currently living in, it is deeply gratifying to be reminded of the other creatures we share this planet with.

Crap, crap, crap. Looked like I bought it at the lowest quality outlet store.

Sent it back and it was expensive to do so. Never seen such poor quality. They should be embarrased to sell something like that.

Artist's Description

Autumn is the third season of the year, when crops and fruits are gathered and leaves fall - in the northern hemisphere from September to November and in the southern hemisphere from March to May. Apparently autumn is mainly only refered to as "fall" in the United States. Autumn in eastern Ontario is an especially beautiful time of year. The colours of the deciduous trees start to show while being anchored by and contrasted with the greens of the pines and cedars. There is a multitude of colours and that is why I selected this image. Colour can be more important than shape in defining the subject. There were no biting insects and the painting and canoeing conditions were perfect. This is my favourite time of year. The water is still warm enough for swimming and the sun is not strong enough to burn your hide off. This scene is on the western bank of the Lyndhurst River, just upstream from Singleton Lake.

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
