This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!

Amazing Beautiful
A southern lapwing in Parque Nacional Iguazu, Argentina. Thesouthern lapwing(vanillus chilensis) is a common, widespread wading bird in South America except in densely forested regions, the higher part of the Andes mountains, and the drier coast of much of western South America. It is also round in Central America and the Cari9bbean. It can be found beside lakes, along river banks and in open grasslands.
The only crested wader in South America, the southern lapwing measures from 12" to 15" in length. Its upperparts are mainly brownis gray with a bronze glossing on the shoulders. The head and crest is mainly gray with a black forehead and a black throat patch that extends to a black chest. There is a small white parch just below the reddish eyes. The underparts are white. The eyes are red and the legs and base of the bill are a dull pink, while the tip of the bill is black. There is a broad white wing bar in front of the black flight feathers.
Like many of the old generation of photographers, I began with a Kodak box brownie when I was a kid. When I saw what resulted, I was hooked. Having grown up with an aunt who was a professional artist, I was always exposed to the creative arts. As a result, I have always liked to paint. Later I went to the Defense Information School at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in 1966 where I got more intensive training in photography and photojournalism and practiced that craft in Vietnam and the United States. I studied with the Famous Artist’s and Famous Photographer’s Schools to help hone my skills. I study the composition, use of light, contrasts of intensities of color, etc. of artist’s works that I catch my eyes to help me hone my skills. I...
